FAQs

First Timers Start Here

  • Welcome, babe — we're so glad you're here! If you're getting your bikini area waxed for the first time, we'd strongly suggest starting with our VAVA\Virgin service.

It gives us a little extra time to get to know you and your skin, walk you through exactly what to expect, and make sure your first experience is as smooth as possible (pun absolutely intended). No rush, no judgment — just good vibes and great results.

  • We don’t charge late fees. However, if your service begins to run into someone else’s, we may have to reschedule. If this happens, your deposit or monthly membership credit will be forfeited.

  • That’s ok! Just cancel 24 hours or more in advance to get your deposit back in full.

  • As long as you do so 24 hours or more in advance, your deposit will be returned in full!

After that time frame, however, the booking system can’t tell the difference between a last minute reschedule and a cancellation. All it knows is that there was a slot another VOOMER could have filled, and the opportunity is missed. :(

Waxing

    • Make sure the hair is at least ¼ inch long (about the length of a grain of rice).

    • Exfoliate gently 24 hours before — nothing harsh.

    • Avoid heavy lotions, oils, or sweating right before your appointment.

    • If you're nervous about discomfort, you may take an OTC pain reliever 30 minutes prior (optional).

    • Rebook immediately to keep your follicles on schedule.

    • Avoid anything that will bring heat, friction, or bacteria to this area for 24 hours.

    • Start exfoliating 2–3 times per week after 48 hours.

    • Follow your esthetician’s recommendations for aftercare.

  • Everyone’s pain tolerance is wildly different. We will say that the most common feedback is “that wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!”

  • Every 4–6 weeks for best results, smoother skin, and less discomfort. We definitely recommend getting a subscription to keep you on track. ;)

  • Yes! Please wear a fresh tampon, and keep in mind you may be slightly more sensitive during this time.

  • We wax pregnant clients regularly!
We do recommend getting clearance with your physician first.

  • We advise waiting at least 4–6 weeks or until your provider says you’re fully healed. If you’re still bleeding, in pain, or physically/emotionally recovering, please wait before booking

  • We use a combination of hard and soft waxes, choosing according to body part, skin type, hair type, hair length, and your sensitivity levels.

  • We assume all humans are equally nasty and should therefore be cleaned up after with hospital grades disinfectants. Also , there’s no double dipping here (ever), gloves will always be worn, and politely decline people that have open wounds, active outbreaks, etc

  • Shaving may disrupt your growth cycle and lead to more discomfort and ingrowns. If you must trim, leave at least ¼ inch of length.
